After last year’s gathering in Edinburgh we wrote up the workshop outcomes into our Vision for a Low-Carbon Scotland in which communities are empowered to shape their own futures. This year we will be looking at how we can make this happen. We’ll be looking at the idea of ‘transformational change’ – learning new ideas and tools to help us plan with hope, and taking inspiration from the great work already happening across Scotland and further afield.

What’s on the agenda for the day? Programme  and workshops and discussions

  • Roundtable discussions on a range of topics such as community empowerment, effective behaviour change, regional networks, diversifying our funding sources, the ‘Transition’ approach and many more
  • Exploring the landscape of transformational change from different perspectives – with sessions run by the International Futures Forum, using the Three Horizons approach
  • Learning games that demonstrate & explore ideas from Living Systems and how we can work creatively to shape the future in uncertain times
  • Plenty of opportunity for mutual learning and exchange

Don’t come expecting a traditional conference! This is your opportunity to participate, contribute and learn. And, we hope, to have fun and go away inspired and re-energised. There are 100 places at this event.

Cost: FREE for Scottish Communities Climate Action Network full members, £50 for non-members and associate members. Membership is free – you can join here http://www.scottishcommunitiescan.org.uk/join-us
