Green Deal and Communities – Edinburgh and Inverness

Edinburgh – 24th Sept, tbc

Inverness – 26th Sept, The Centre for Health Science, Old Perth Road, Inverness IV2 3JH

The Energy Saving Trust in partnership with the independent charity Keep Scotland Beautiful is hosting two Green Deal events for community groups which we think you will be interested in.  These are part of a series of Scottish Government sponsored events helping to share knowledge and best practice regarding the Green Deal.

These FREE seminars will look at what the Green Deal means for communities and how they can benefit from the scheme.  Topics covered include: an introduction to the Green Deal, links between Green Deal and other sources of funding, the Green Deal supply chain and strategies for communities.  There is also additional support from the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network (SCCAN) and, in Inverness, the Highland Environmental Network.

The events will be held in Edinburgh (24 September) and Inverness (26 September) from 11am to 4pm (same timings for both) and in addition to expert speakers will include an optional ‘drop-in’ surgery to  ask questions and further discuss how the Green Deal could work for communities with staff from Home Energy Scotland and Local Energy Scotland.  Keep Scotland Beautiful staff will also be present to provide information on the Green Deal with relation to the Climate Challenge Fund (CCF).

As places are limited, registering interest in these events is essential. For further information, including programme agenda and how to register your interest please visit the Energy Saving Trust web site available here. Or see the attached agenda below:
