Transition Project – Students’ Association University of the West of Scotland

We currently run a Sustainable Food project aimed at reducing the amount of meat consumed and food wasted by students. In addition we are helping increase the sustainability literacy of the staff and student community by running regular Carbon&Money workshops using the Carbon Conversations format. We previously ran an energy saving campaign in halls of residence, provided home energy advice, carried out home energy visits, saved tons of ‘stuff’ from going to landfill through our end of year halls reuse scheme, supported the launch of the UWS sustainable transport initiative and worked on the NUS Green Impact initiative.
